The Law determines the authorities of The Verkhovna Rada appertaining to the protection of people from the influence of ionizing radiation. In particular, the authorities of The Verkhovna Rada are as follows: "to define the principles of State policy in the field of protection of people from the influence of ionizing radiation; to determine legal principles of regulation of relations in the field of protection of people from the influence of ionizing radiation; to approve the Statute and personnel of the National Commission in charge of radiological protection of Ukrainian population".
A relevant Bill was registered under Reg. No.1347.
